From September 26 to October 4, Saint-Tropez will host the 28th edition of Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez. More than 250 yachts and nearly 3,500 sailors will gather in the Gulf for a week where world-class competition, maritime heritage and timeless elegance come together.
Chaque automne, les Voiles de Saint-Tropez offrent un spectacle unique au monde. Voiliers de tradition, unités modernes et Maxi composent un ballet exceptionnel sur l’eau, tandis que le port devient l’écrin des plus belles unités. Héritière de la mythique Nioulargue, l’épreuve cultive depuis plus de quarante ans un équilibre rare entre excellence sportive, élégance et convivialité.
Every autumn, Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez stage one of the world’s most spectacular sailing events. Classic yachts, modern racing yachts and Maxis perform an extraordinary ballet on the water, while the harbour becomes a showcase for some of the finest yachts afloat. Descended from the legendary Nioulargue, the event has, for more than forty years, embodied a rare balance of sporting excellence, elegance and conviviality.
Le retour des Classe J
Temps fort de cette édition, le retour des Classe J promet d’être l’un des grands moments des Voiles. Dessinés dans les années 1930 pour la Coupe de l’America, ces géants des mers fascinent par leurs lignes intemporelles et leur puissance. Leur présence offrira un spectacle remarquable, sur l’eau comme le long des quais.
The Return of the J Class
One of the highlights of this year’s edition will be the return of the magnificent J Class yachts. Originally designed in the 1930s for the America’s Cup, these giants of the sea captivate with their timeless lines and extraordinary power. Their presence promises an unforgettable spectacle, both on the racecourse and alongside the quays.
Les 20 ans du Trophée Rolex
Pour célébrer cet anniversaire, le prestigieux Trophée Rolex distinguera cette année les P-Class, ces élégants cotres auriques dessinés selon la jauge universelle de Nathaniel Herreshoff. Quatre de ces voiliers américains centenaires se retrouveront dans le Golfe, témoignant de l’attachement des Voiles au patrimoine du yachting.
20 Years of the Rolex Trophy
To celebrate this milestone anniversary, the prestigious Rolex Trophy will this year honour the P-Class, the elegant gaff-rigged cutters designed under Nathaniel Herreshoff’s Universal Rule. Four of these century-old American yachts will gather in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, reflecting Les Voiles’ enduring commitment to preserving the heritage of classic yachting.
Le règne des Maxi, le match des Modernes
Présents depuis les premières éditions, les Maxi incarnent la démesure et la majesté des Voiles de Saint-Tropez. Ils disputeront une nouvelle fois le prestigieux Trophée Edmond de Rothschild. This year’s event will also celebrate 150 years of the Edmond de Rothschild family’s maritime legacy through the remarkable Gitana saga. These exceptional yachts have become icons of offshore racing, representing innovation, technological excellence and bold maritime ambition. Modern yachts will also deliver thrilling competition throughout the week. The BMW Trophy will reward the top-performing IRC 0 yacht, the premier class featuring some of the fastest and most competitive boats on the water. Beyond the racing, Les Voiles is equally about the unique atmosphere ashore. As the yachts return to the harbour and the quays come alive, Saint-Tropez reveals its unmistakable charm. Having passed away only a few months ago, he leaves behind a legacy that continues to inspire Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez and remains at the heart of the event, now carried forward by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez
