Adopté il y a neuf ans auprès d’une association de Sainte-Maxime, La Guigne partage depuis le quotidien du maître d’œuvre Boris Folli. Ce croisé siamois a vu grandir toute la famille, accompagnant les premiers pas de Victoire, 7 ans, Lola, 4 ans, et Marcus, 2 ans. Son nom, clin d’œil au film Mon beau-père et moi, pourrait prêter à sourire. Pourtant ce chat au tempérament doux est loin de porter malheur : très calin, il possède un vrai instinct protecteur. Dès qu’il entend un enfant pleurer, il accourt pour lui apporter du réconfort. S’il aime partir chasser et explorer la nature, La Guigne apprécie tout autant le confort de la maison. L’hiver venu, il profite tellement de son cocon qu’il prend parfois quelques rondeurs… au point d’avoir du mal à franchir la chatière !
Adopted nine years ago through a rescue association in Sainte-Maxime, La Guigne has shared the daily life of project manager Boris Folli ever since. This Siamese cross has watched the whole family grow up, accompanying the first steps of Victoire, now seven, Lola, four, and Marcus, two. His name—a playful reference to the film Meet the Parents—might suggest bad luck. Yet this gentle cat couldn’t be further from it. Exceptionally affectionate, he has a genuine protective instinct. Whenever he hears one of the children crying, he immediately comes running to comfort them. Although he enjoys hunting and exploring the outdoors, La Guigne is just as fond of the comforts of home. During the winter months, he becomes so attached to his cosy refuge that he occasionally puts on a little weight… sometimes making it difficult to squeeze through the cat flap!
