Repéré à l’âge de 20 ans, le jeune artiste français dévoile ses premières œuvres au Quai sur le port. Ses oeuvres photographiques qui théâtralisent les dérives du monde de la nuit attirent l’attention des galeristes internationaux et des personnalités comme Tony Parker et Eva Longoria, Karl Lagerfeld ou plus récemment David Guetta. En 2014, Philippe Shangti imagine et signe, en collaboration avec David Brémond, le concept de l’Opera un restaurant, cabaret, club et « art exhibition » unique sur la French Riviera. C’est dans ce lieu exclusif qu’il dévoile chaque année en avant-première ses nouvelles collections et ses shows mêlant comme à son habitude les codes esthétiques et chics de la provocation et du glamour, à l’image cette saison de la thématique « Seven » inspirée des 7 péchés capitaux. Riche d’une actualité très dense, rythmée par les Art Fair internationales et la préparation du World Tour de ses 15 ans de carrière, Philippe retrouvera le 27 juillet Saint-Tropez, son village de cœur, dans le cadre d’un évènement privé organisé avec la Galerie Bel – Air Fine Art.
Spotted at the age of 20, the young French artist unveiled his first pieces at Le Quai, on the port. His photographic works, which dramatised the excesses of the nightlife crowd, attracted the attention of international gallery owners and celebrities, such as Tony Parker and Eva Longoria, Karl Lagerfeld and, more recently, David Guetta. In 2014, Philippe Shangti, in collaboration with David Brémond, created L’Opera, a unique establishment on the French Riviera that is a restaurant, a cabaret, a club and an art gallery all at the same time. It is in this exclusive venue that, each year, the artist unveils his latest collections and shows. As always, his work combines the chic and aesthetic codes of provocation and glamour, such as illustrated by this season’s theme, “Seven”, inspired by the seven deadly sins. Between various international Art Fairs and his preparations for his World Tour marking the 15th anniversary of his career, he will only return to Saint-Tropez, a village close to his heart, on 27 July, for a private event organised with the Bel-Air Fine Art gallery.
